Teenage girl simply asserting her rights to jump about, her entitlement to take a police officer’s taser from him, and what did the brute do? He slapped her!

String ‘em up, I say.

Spath , not to be rude or anything, but for me, when you suggested the cops could have little windmills on top of their tasers to recharge, indicated you are posting with the intention of causing a little bit of casus belli (no its not a cocktail look it up :-)

Spath, this is not meant in anyway to be offensive but I do think the level of naivety you constantly display may have something to do with it.

Spath - you start off on some threads with an opinion but by the time we've got to 100+ answers you've changed your mind.

AB is not mocking, neither am I, simply stating my honest opinion with no reason to cause offence.
What annoys me about all of this is that the poor officer has to be the subject of some sort of enquiry, it all has to be discussed at length and the Chief Constable has to be involved (albeit he is rightly defending his officer)! The girl deserved all she got, why should the police have to put up with all of this on a daily basis nowadays, and it's getting worse? They are only human and can only takes so much stick. Their stress levels at times must be through the roof!
spath, those of us who have had experience of managing such behaviour in people smaller and weaker than ourselves HAVE brought facts to the table

how can one "passively mock" things?

As a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist, I have little sympathy for the organised arms of state oppression - think Orgreave, Saltley Gate, Grosvenor Square, and so on, all the way back to Peterloo and beyond.

But I’m a realist too, and know that often all that stands between us and the anarchy of the mob is decent police officers.

Roll on a Peoples’ Police to defend us all.
The screaming onlookers were disgraceful, as was the young female resisting arrest. Society is becoming more feral everyday and the attending officers in this case deserve to be cut some slack.
