For the past 9 months I seem to have become addicted to them ... to the point that I read about 20 a day.BTW none of them ever seem to come true. Anyone else ever done this and how did you stop? I feel like it is taking over my life, to the point that I cant make a decision without consulting all the horoscopes

No its utter rubbish. One of mine this week says I'm going on a much needed trip at the weekend (good guess its Bank Holiday) . Well actually I'm not ,cos I'm staying at home looking after the animals while everyone goes to the GP at Silverstone lol!

Just stop reading them. Better still read every single one and realise just how similar every one is.

I remember a comedy sketch once where someone was reading their horoscope and chuckling until he got to: ‘in the afternoon, you will die’ (!)
And did he ?
I don't too.

Stunned to read people's friends worked as horoscope writers/ recycled horoscopes I had NO IDEA...ok giving up COLD TURKEY as of tomorrow. thanks for all the answers=)
Worse still, I wrote them under the nom de plume (nom de merde more like) of Dr Rudolph Rheinhart.

I’ll dig out some from the mid60s and post them here, to see how they stand up...
Lots of people do. To be fair, I think they don't go by the generalised ones in the newspapers. There have been several detailed studies which show a correlation between the Rising Sign at birth and general tendencies. I'm trying to remember the chap's name, Michel something. French birth certs. give time of birth as well as place and he undertook a study of Army lists - which gave a big statistical oops about the number of soldiers born with either Aries or Scorpio as a Rising Sign. Quite interesting.
^^ Further to that - I remember a quote 'It's the set of the sails and not the gales that show where the ship shall be'. In other words nothing is fixed, there is self-determination, with planetary influences as a factor. It's 40 years since I investigated all this, so I am vague; but don't spend your life being influenced by the newspaper horoscopes. A proper, professional chart will give you indications - it's up to you how you apply them.
It is a nonsense pesudo-science that is right up there with homeopathy.
A load of gas balls.... literally. Except for the moon
Cor, who’d have predicted so many answers?
God, no.
Weird how normally intelligent people can seriously think a few planets flying around in our solar system can affect someone's personality, or even worse , affect their day to day life.
