i think its "chi-ri-tho", if its spanish then i think thats what we learnt in spanish!! the spanish pronounce z's as a 'th' sound. hope this helps - though i may be wrong!!
I just pronounce it as "hhhmmmmmmm yuuuuuum!"

k-orree-tzo, with the stress on the 'ee' sound.

The italian 'ch' is pronounced 'k', I believe, the 'i' is lengthened and the 'z' hardened.
it is a spanish sausage....its not italian
I think here in the US that kind of sausage is pronounced "chor ease oh" although some places shorten it and call it "cher ese". Just depends on which part of the country you are in I guess.
It is spelt chorizo. My dad was spanish and used to pronounce it CHO (like you start chocolate) RITZO.
