Sheep that don't eat trees or bark.

I own a coppiced wood land and am looking for a breed of sheep that will keep the grass down but not eat the new shoot growth of the coppice. Anyone know of such a breed?

I once saw wild boar first cross pigs kept in a newly planted woodland. As I was involved in grant aiding the woodland I needed to be sure that the planting was not damaged. At low pig density the trees were not touched, they just foraged.. I visited the wood some time later and pig density had increased significantly (big money in wild boar meat apparently) and the wood had been decimated. Not strictly to the point of your question but thought it might help at some point.

The pig is the only animal who, if left to fend for themselves in the wild will turn back to it's natural wild state eg boar in 6 months.
