Is this too good to be true ?

For the "max" option, it's 10 a month with free connection, free router, Up to 16mb, unlimited download and free installation.

I had a letter from sky this morning and apparently my area will be "among the first to receive sky bb"

Anyone going to sign up, anyone know anything about it, anyone want to comment.

I'll have to upgrade my basic sky package to include sky sports though.....damn shame that !!!!

Ta muchly

I thought the exact same thing when I read about it yesterday. It does seem to good to be true.
I beleive it is true, but I used to work for BT broadband, and the strength of your connection is determined by your distance from phone excahnge, at most around 8mb, most people get 2,3 or4 in populated areas, if you live in the middle of nowhere, you'll be lucky to get a 2meg connection,

With that in mind SKY are currently only able to offer this service to 23% of customers at the moment, If you are one of the lucky 23% then hooray for you! if not you'll have to wait a few months for the improvments depending on where you live...

hope this help..J
I had a letter off them today, but they said i could have 8mb with a 40gb monthy ussage limit. no unlimited. is this going to come through the my bt line or through my satalite dish?
40gb is considered unlimited by most companies under

their "fair usages" policies,

I would imagine it will be your BT line, although it will be possible to have sattelite broadband connections this would be more costly than using current wires, hence the low price
