I have received a new laptop with work, running on XP. I have 'My Picture Slideshow' set as my screensaver. I DO NOT have the 'ON RESUME, PASSWORD PROTECT' selected on the settings in this area! However, I keep getting prompted to enter my password on resume. Can anyone advise me on how to stop this please?

no you can't - you'll need to check with your tech support ... but I'd guess that a policy has been set to make this happen.

using the security policies editor you can allow/restrict just about every action in windows (including access to the policy editor).poledit.exe

It's an obvious security threat if you leave the machine switched on and unattended in someone's house.... or on the train

you don't work for mi5 do you?
