Rib eye steaks.....gorgoeus. Ooooo and T bone steaks, a BBQ's not a BBQ till you've had the 'meat sweats' which follow- lol.
Spatchc0ck chicken? You can get them ready-'spatched' (?) in the supermarket.

How about mixing up a sangria?
bbq fruit can be cool or nice fresh shish-kebabs.

Also bananas, sliced down the middle, stuffed with sliced marsbar are great! (wrap them in foil and bake them on the bbq for pudding)
Linguistines straight on the bbq. Mmmmm...

Or if you want a cheaper option go for prawns marinated in chilli and garlic. Chop up some easy cook veg (courgettes, mange tout, onion, mushrooms etc.) and place them in foil. Drizzle with some olive oil (herbs optional) and wrap the foil then place on the bbq for a few minutes.

Good wine options:-
Ice cold Cava, or White Zinfandel ros, or a chilled red (beaujolais is good).
Oooo ooo just remembered a brilliant sweet a mate of mine did for a BBQ we had the other week.

Sliced fresh pineapple, sprinkled with brown sugar and fresh mint, it was out of this world.
p.s. What time do I need to be there? And do you want me to bring dessert?
Marinated veg - field mushrooms, aubergine, courgette, onion.

Meat and veg kebabs - e.g. chicken thighs or lamb with onion, tomato and pepper all on a skewer after having been marinated in oil, lemon juice, herbs.

Fresh mackerel or salmon

Good call from Big Gill there - mix up a load of sangria.

Get some cocktail recipes on display, a range of cocktail ingredients, some shakers and lots of ice, and just put them all out and leave people to make their own.

Lots of different fresh fruit juices
Oh and corn cobs, brushed with oil and seasoned, go great on the barbie

Tesco (or my lovely butcher who makes them himself) do minted lamb kebabs, which are very nice!
what about a chocolate fondue for after we can dip marshmallows ;~P

ooh,Im getting all excited now at my bbq!!
Boo....i did the same with the pineapple last week and it was delicious. I also made a chocolate sauce....melted choc, some double cream and a minature bottle of malibu. Dip the caramalised barbequed pineapple in the chocolate sauce.......absolutely devine.
And for the "side orders", try roasting some new potatoes in a drizzle of olive oil and covered in runny honey.

Also, get some bacon and cut it into long strips about 1" wide. Get two dried apricots and roll them in the bacon strip. Secure with a cocktail stick and bake for 15 mins.

And, get some Halloumi cheese....cut it into squares and put on a cocktail stick with a pineapple cube
I know it's late, but for future reference, banana wrapped in bacon. Trust me, it's gorgeous.
