Very sorry, if not shocked, to see Aston go. I blame his partner. The music wasn't suitable for a Viennese waltz and he should have been dressed in tails to make him feel elegant.
Agree with soliloquy Aston is a brilliant dancer but doing the Waltz with the big hairdo and inappropriate dress wasn’t right but still a great dancer with much more to offer turning into a popularity contest now
Yes, Caribeing, that can only be the reason Ruth and Anton are still there. And as for the judging, it was a tie. I don't think it was right that Shirley should have a casting vote. It would be interesting to know the result of the public vote - which I am sure would have been in favour of Aston. Aston put on a brave face but he was clearly upset.
Shirley Ballas is the head judge with an extra vote if there is a tie so her vote sent Mollie and AJ through. Those two shouldn't have been in the dance off at all, nut as caribeing said, Aston's costume and hair did him no favours at all and the routine wasn't in keeping with the rules of a Viennese waltz.
Have Shirley and Mollie got history?
Cannot see for the life of me how they say that "If there is a split vote, then Shirley has the casting vote". When she was asked to cast her vote the score was 2 - 1. When she made her vote it made it 2 - 2 , therefore a draw. Stupid system. Wrong couple were voted off. Rant over.
