I have fairy lights with bayonet fitting at the end which I usually plug into ceiling light in front porch...is there anything I can get that is battery powered that I can plug lights into instead?

The ceiling light fitting is going to be 240v ac. It'd be a fiddle to get a battery to achieve that. Probably need an inverter too. No, not worth going down that road for a few fairy lights. Either buy a new LED version that runs off battery, or find a ceiling fitting to plug into.
