How do you go about sponsorship for your business? I run a successful printing business but have just moved to bigger premisses and we need some funding to help us grow, we already have a bank loan but now need extra investment . We need some new equipment but haven't got the funds, can anyone help?

To get sponsorship, you'd need to be able to demonstrate to the sponsor what benefit to them there would be in investing in your company.

Does your printing business benefit the local community, or groups such as disadvtanged children, or charities? If so there are loads of grants available from local organisations to further those coarses - I'm on a grants mailing list from Kent County Council which lists them all. Would that help?
Knock on a lot of doors.
Make lots of calls.
Might possibly be able to put up a stall at some event.

If the bank won't extend you further finance, not sure how you'll convince other though.
You could try Funding Circle - kind of a crowd funding site but more business expansion orientated;

I would question your business proposal, firstly you have just moved to larger premises, so I am going to break the 8th deadly sin and assume, I am assuming you have an increased rent, along with increased Council Tax.

Surely your first priority is increasing your profitability with your current equipment, this puts you in the position of then looking to finance any further Capital investment, from your profits.

If it is large scale printing equipment, you are into tens of thousands at least, if not £Millions.

Alternatively look to the 2nd hand market, if your profits are good, then either the Banks or crowd sourcing should fit the bill.

I am still very cautious about businesses borrowing, where the profits are in the future, because new equipment is needed, if you are making a decent profit now keep hacking away until the loan is reduced, and the profits increase, then look to buying new kit and expanding from there.

Oops- I meant to post this on your latest version
The first things is to find a company that can relate to your market, audience and identity. Once you have done that, you have to convince the sponsorship manager that if they invest in you they will see immediate benefits and results.
