Was his name "David Strickland "? if so, yes he is dead, he killed himself. He was in Suddenly Susan, dont think he was the guy from Friends though

Hi, the bloke in Friends, called Ayre Gross or something, was in Ellen, not Suddenly Susan.
I remember the man from Suddenly Susan who died though. They did a special episode dedicated to him which was really sad. x
