But still as some will say, "they have always done this on Bank holidays, it is just that we didn't get to know about it, back then".

There's a problem with the idea of capital punishment for crimes against the state being a deterrent, or that it will increase security/safety.

It doesn't stop terrorists.

Look at the number of terrorists who have blown themselves up. Death is not something that extremists fear. In fact, I am lead to believe that this is central to aim of Jihadists.

So I really don't see how imposing the death penalty for these atrocities is going to make any difference. It might make us feel that something is being done, but it won't necessarily make us any safer.
No but it will save us a tremendous amount of money caring for the disloyal bas tards who unfortunately do not get killed
Do you know who will be carrying on as normal and enjoying this bank holiday, every other bank holiday whilst we live in fear, jump at our own shadows and view everyone in public wearing a scarf, hijab, burqa and rucksack a possible mass murder on the brink of a large scale terrorist massacre?

Demon eyes, Blair, the moronic idiot who got us into this mess in the first place.

I will.

I get the sentiments, but in the fight against terrorism, it's safety that I want, rather than the knowledge that we've saved money on holding prisoners.

That's way down my list.
You can't cite your life experience as some kind of authority we are supposed to take seriously and then "refuse to give personal information."

I don't doubt AOG served in the RAF at some point, though I do not believe his implications that he did so during WW2 given that he refuses to state his age.

What an undignified thread.

If those who seem a little slow on the uptake had read the piece under my link, surely they would not have failed to notice that my thread was aimed at the 'let them all in' brigade.

Most of the problems we see today, the lack of our freedom and safety, (hence the need for such measures as these during our Bank holiday) the demise of the NHS, shortage of affordable housing, crowded class rooms, etc, etc. Can be laid firmly on the uncontrolled mass immigration into this country of persons who come from an entirely different culture than we do.

Now that important piece and the need to add those words under the link:

We had none of this trouble before the mass influx of foreign nationals into this country.

And another gem than often comes out in defence of this swarm, but I answer no! just a very small percentage of Doctors, Nurses and other valuable assets came with this flood of unknowns.
Would you be happier if the same number of immigrants came from a similar culture instead?
// We know this AOG, we have already done this thread.//

yeah well lets do it again and again
day after day - just like Brexit threads !

I mean you dont just have sax once do you ?

and there's always the Fire with Fire thread for REAL common sense
// ....though I do not believe his implications that he did so during WW2 given that he refuses to state his age. //

no dear old AOG could have done - call up age was 18 WW2 and went down post war (!) - so say he was 17 in 1945.
That makes y o b 1928, and 72 + 17 .... is 89 y young.

Hey I must tell you from days of yore - a young immigrant (DP but never mind) was playing with the kids in the house around 1950, and as thy ran down the stairs screaming followed by dog etc to ge outside - he jumped out of a first floor window - onto Grass and said "Hi little kiddies!" - and the kids just about pooped themselves with fright. and I have always reckoned as an eastern european he was involved in house searches in the East ( either running away from them or doing them in the SS)

well it is not THAT off point is it
patrolling, army. searching and shooting people ?
