Can you put the steam box on the floor and iron, or does it need to be at the same level as the iron to work the most efficiently ?

Putting the steam box on the floor, would mean that as the steam has further to travel than usual, it can cool and would therefore be more inefficient.

Dunelm (fabric and homewares store) are selling a table specifically for steam generator irons. Its similar to a workmate - but with an ironing table on the top. The sg goes on a ledge about halfway between table and floor. The only drawback that I can see is the price - �50 !
