I can't see the point of raking this all up again. It doesn't do her memory any good. Why did she not see her children for a month and who was she with when she phoned them that last time. Not an ideal devoted mother IMO. Can any parent here imagine leaving their kids for a month . If there's any guilt it should not be with the boys.

I am not surprised they felt and still feel guilt over their mother's death.

They are human and the death of a parent at that age is devistating for anyone but to be in the public eye all the while must have been doubly hard.

I imagine they are racking it all up again to show their human side and it does help others in that grief is grief and wherever possible shouldn't be bottled up etc. I think it is all about their efforts with mental health issues in general that they have been highlighting.

That said there comes a point when you have to say enough I say enough and not all of us thought of Diana as the poor downtrodden saint she became.

Charles was wrong to marry her and it was wrong for the establishment to make him marry someone he didn't love. He loved CPB and always had. But that's another thread lol

The fact that they've not really spoken about it before may have been becoming a 'thing' that they just wanted to get out of the way.

Why would you care anyway?, she was their mother, they can do what they like. I won't be watching it as I'm not particularly interested, but I don't have any issue with it either.
I guess they've had the benefit of 20 years of reflection. They are both public figures who are half-Diana, and we deserve to know what lessons they have learnt from their mother and their loss. They will not say anything to damage the memory of Diana, indeed it could possibly put to bed some of the overwrought fictional tales about her.

It's not a pleasant story, how the Royal Family turned their back on Diana, and went along with Charles' adultery, subsequently giving Fayed & Co a chance to make hay with the fallout from the tragedy. What is a better story is how William and Harry have turned out pretty well considering their hellish childhood, and should have chance to express whatever they wish about it.
The answer is simple. Watch if you want to, ignore if you don’t. Its on ITV so not being made with public money.
Bit embarrassing for Camila. She must be gritting her teeth!
I'm sure Camilla will be embarrassed, especially as we all now know that Charles slept with her the night before he married Diana. No wonder Diana was so mixed/messed up
I forgot the two lads' step mother

and they probably want to reflect on when their mother married Dodi, then they would have been the first in the Royal Fambly to have a levantine step father !

[yeah yeah I know she didnt]
No idea. What annoys me is it is presented like they are the only ones to loose a parent. OK not nice but at least they were not thrown into poverty like some otgers are.
I don't feel qualified to quantify their need, but if it helps them get their feelings across it's not doing me or anyone else harm.

I'm not sure if I'll watch or not.
You can't change the past what happened has happened move on all you can do
For most of us moving on is somewhat simple, when your life past and present is in the public gaze constantly less easy.
Well I still find it less easy :-(
Am not sure if there was a specific 'need'.
Possibly they just wanted, somehow, to honour their mum's memory and her life in some way?

Just hope they don't trot out a programme for the 25th and 30th etc etc
Sorry Ummmm, my reply seems crass - I didn't mean it quite that way.

We don't have to live our grief out in the glare of publicity is what I meant.

/// She still sells papers. ///

And Elvis Presley was last seen..........
I think it is natural for the Princes to speak out. I would find it rather strange if they did not. I still talk about my dead mother to all that will listen and show pictures. Only natural.
Because its the 20th anniversary of Diana death ?
A production company approached them with the idea, William and Harry agreed. They are now old enough and sufficiently self-assured to undertake such a difficult interview.

I suspect the viewing figures for this evenings programme will be quite high.

/// We don't know why she did not see them for a month it could have been the terms of the divorce ///

Couldn't it have been because she had been on a Mediterranean cruise on Dodi Fayed's luxury yacht?

Or potentially because they were at Balmoral with their grandmother which was quite normal for them every year?
