Once had some dealings with David Davis when he was chairman of the Public Accounts Committee and I thought him unbearably arrogant. That said he's clearly moving up on the rails as successor to May and he's obviously capable.

She can resign of course. Nothing stopping her, just as nothing stopped Call Me Dave scooting off.
What I meant was they can't boot her out -- for now
The last thing the Tories want now is a Leadership election .....they have no choice but to carry on with Mrs Maybe, for the time being at least.
