i like kingsmill hi fibre white and i like kingsmill 50-50 and i see that these brands are both lower in fat & sugars that the kingsmill wholemeal !! i would never have thought it if i hadnt read the label.

what is the best milk for me also , i never drink milk ever, but now i want more healthy fibre in my diet and want to eat weatabix in mornings instead of skipping breakfast or eating eggs & bacon.

so, in your view whats the healthiest best tasting brands of both milk and bread, soya maybe ?
i never tried soya or coconut or almond milk but willing to give it a try.

oh you are going to get a LOAD of views on this....
I'd forget all of the trendy soya, almond, coconut milks unless you are lactose intolerant and just drink normal skimmed or semi skimmed cows milk.
I don't know what it would be like with Weetabix but sometimes I like my muesli with apple juice.
Well...I'd have the eggs and bacon. More nutrients and will keep you full longer than weetabix.
As for milk...there's not a huge difference in fat content between the three types...have the one that tastes best to you.
^ I'm not sure about the bacon. Too much processed meat has been linked to bowel cancer and there isn't a lot of nutritional benefit from it.
told you so!
And?
I said that there would be many diverging opinions and I was right
So what is your opinion then?
Soya milk, like soya cheese, and soya yogurt are an abomination....suitable only for fussy, "Vegan" people.

I would start with semi-skimmed milk and than either go up or down the fat scale, according to your own taste, As has been said already, there is precious little difference between the three types.

Ditto with bread. Some days I have a nice crusty baguette, and on other days, a nutty and seedy loaf.

Its really doesn't matter !
I don’t have one. I honestly believe that a diet that suits one person won’t suit another. For me fibre is not healthy for instance.
For me, vegetables are not good. They really don't agree with me and I can only tolerate about 2 portions per day. Luckily I tend to ignore the powers that be who say we should be eating 5 a day - same as those that say we should be drinking 2 ltrs of water a day
237 "vegetable don't agree with me"

What does that mean ? All veg looks, and tastes differently...how on earth can they "not agree with me"
mikey, so far as I am concerned its simple. I get IBS. Too much fibre in the diet means I live in the loo. That’s what I would describe as “not agreeing" with me
always buy skimmed milk..and make my own bread !
Same here minty!
Woofy....my apologies for understanding your post !

I used to suffer from IBS myslef. My Doctor had a theory that it was caused by stress, and guess what.....2 weeks after I left BT in 1994, it went away, never to return !
I suffer from IBS and find lactose is a trigger so always drink lactose free milk.
Not understanding I meant !
