Not you, emmie, those who use a little book :D
I've got a folder, containing several sheets of A4, with all of my passwords in it. Most are written down 'unencrypted' (because even if anyone got hold of my folder they wouldn't be able to do anything harmful using those passwords) but a few are written as, for example, "first cat/Dave's birthdate (6 digits)/Sally's birth month (word)", which isn't likely to mean much to anyone other than me.

hc 4361 Not all sites accept the same password format, though. Some demand at least one capital, some a mix of numbers and letters, some won't accept punctuation marks and most have a minimum and maximum number of characters.

They really, really annoy me when coming up with one acceptable let alone having to remember them ones... paranoid gits!

i can't remember most, the reason is i was online and looking at my banking details and instead of logging straight in, it asked me for details i don't normally need to give, and yes it does make me paranoid.
Memory for me....there is a theme though.....and alphanumeric.

I can understand from our perceptive Emmie, I was referring to those that make passwords so incredibly hard to remember by having to use two capital letters, one punctuation mark.. and any two digits opposed to each other etc...

i know, some of mine as so long that i couldn't possibly remember them, hence the phone.
Pretty good with the ones I use regularly, have a few written in a book too - don't use a device when out and about so that's no bother.

Very sensitive ones are contained within a story - so far so good.

My bugbear is when they decide as you haven't visited for a while they'll ask you a bunch of security question - you last answered those five years ago!!

yes indeed, i was asked questions from the bank that i haven't had to use for an age.
Most are in Word doc & email to me, then stored in email folder under pword that I can open globally. Often used are also in mobile Contacts.
