My lodger of four years will shortly be moving out. She has the second (top) floor of my house to herself. What settings should I use on the TVRs (bedroom, kitchen, sitting room, corridor) when that floor is not occupied?

Opinions will differ but I would ensure that every part of an unoccupied dwelling is always at a minimum of 10 degrees. For this it is really necessary to position one or more thermometers in the place and check it/them over a period of 24-48 hours together with monitoring the corresponding radiator effort and matching output with need. Unless the valves have already been calibrated for the conditions in each room/space, you may find that different settings are required to get the results you want.
