I know I said that I wanted sentencing to be tougher but this is over the top.

I am struggling to believe it is true

Even if you didn't see the sidebar, there's a bit of a clue here:

"Shortly after this case was heard, a 64-year-old man was arrested at Southend Waitrose for using a Parent and Child space with his 41-year-old son.
A fellow shopper said: ‘I can’t see how this will ever be progressed through the Crown Prosecution Service. None of the signs stipulate a minimum age.’"
A spokesperson for the London and South East Bowling Alley Union (LSEBAU)
says that bowling alleys will close due to strike action. LSEBAU! ...LOL.
Clearly Fake News.

TheChair - I have actually heard that argument from a woman with her grown up daughter.
My OH uses that argument when he parks in a parent and child space, even though my son's not with us at the time and he's 25, anyway!

He is awful. I get so embarrassed by him sometimes.
Should be 10 years for failing to take up the privileged position space, and thus failing to dissuade parents from dragging their kids out shopping where they will get tired, bored, and become a probable nuisance.
Little kids are usually ok in supermarkets. It's when people drag six lumpen teenagers around that I get annoyed.
I park in the parent and child spaces when I take my 30 year old son to the supermarket!! It does not specify an age limit!

I really hope you don't, Eddie
^^ I was actually questioned about this by a parking attendant. I told him ''I'm the parent and this is my child'' He just shrugged his shoulders and walked off.
Yes I really do! Can't see where it is wrong as they don't specify an age!
Because you know it's wrong, Eddie.
chin up old fellow
