When the Red Cross says something like this, then surely we have to sit up and take notice ?

A quote from the Shadow Health Secretary :::::::

"For the Red Cross to brand the situation a 'humanitarian crisis' should be a badge of shame for government ministers."

Who can argue with that ?

The NHS is safe with us ....really ?

I've only skim read the first page and can't wade through 120 posts.
Suffice to say the NHS most definitely IS in a crisis and those who say private hospitals cope well have no idea as to how such establishments get by on a wing and a prayer and borrow lots of equipment from said NHS, sometimes to the detriment of NHS patients.

I've got the time to write this now because the patient with kidney cancer I was supposed to be attending to this morning in Theatre has just been cancelled....no bed available.
Such an event is an ever increasing occurrence where I work.
