I watch this programme in the hope that I will learn ways to save money but I am really put off by the presenting style - the whooping audience, the skits, the repetition, the patronising attitude.

I don't think I can bear another episode.

What irritates you about the show - or do you love it?

Exactly what you said hc4361. We watched, or rather started watching, the first show and gave up because of the presenting style. We've never tried it since.

This show is for the hard of thinking. Don't like it as they only tell you common sense things people already do and know about, nothing new or ground braking.

The presenter does my nut in.
I find the website extremely useful but I cannot bear to watch the show for the reasons you state. He is so annoyingly pleased and excited with himself all the time and surrounded by sycophants.
Didn't think itwas just me!
Another one who agrees. Only watched it a couple of times. Never again!
I have never seen the programme but I get his weekly emails.

I echo the above comments, but like Chelle, I use the website a lot. It's saved me hundreds on energy bills.
We just won't watch him on TV...for all the above reasons. His presentation epitomises the "talk-down to you all" style....he's clever at what he does and don't we all get to know it!
Don't particularly care for the TV format he uses, although I like what he does. I subscribe to the e-mail and follow him on Twitter. It's quieter.

You've all convinced me to give up on the tv show and stick to his emails and the MSE site.

When the co presenter Saira Khan said on Loose Women that she doesn't want sex with her husband I thought it was because she's in love with Martin. Last night's show did nothing to change my mind about that.
His website/newsletter is good and he is excellent on the radio - he has a slot on 5 live on Mondays- but I agree that his TV show is annoying, particularly the sketches.
One problem he has is he is really preaching to the converted. Despite all his efforts to get people to switch energy suppliers something like 80% of people have never switched. I have some professional friends who I thought were money savvy but were actually unaware that switching suppliers or bank accounts or installing a water meter was possible as they never watch him

I think he first came to my attention on Radio 2, where he was a regular interviewee on the Jeremy Vine show. He's become a caricature of himself.

He is hard to watch him for 5 minutes on the Breakfast show, couldnt stand him for an hour, clever but a silly childish man.
I don't tend to catch the show: but showbiz is showbiz.
