I am with the Americans, I don't do false modesty.

I am extremely good at what I do - I know because editors won't pay for bad writing, and I will tell anyone at the drop of a hat because I am seriously proud of my skill.

But - I am equally forthcoming in context about the several thousand other things I either do really badly, or can't do at all. and that keeps me nicely grounded!
