I put a question up yesterday 'help with modem' saying that i was unable 2 get online with my computer cos the modem drivers were lost and i needed to find out what manufacturer and model my modem was in order 2 get the correct drivers. I was told to download this program http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html which will tell me exactly wot i have installed on my computer but i cant get online with the computer in question Would it be possible to download the program, put it onto disc and then run the disc in the computer unable 2 access the internet to find out what modem it is??

Yes, that will work fine. Download the file advisor.exe from the site on someone elses computer and copy the file onto a floppy. advisor.exe is only 594kB, so it will fit on one disc just fine. When you get to your computer put in the floppy disc and run advisor.exe and it will install the Belarc advisor on your machine and you can find out all sorts of stuff about what is going on under the bonnet!
