i dont think your daughter is entitled to extra time off school for family holidays, because the way the school will see it is that the summer holidays are approx 7 weeks long so that should be plenty of time for holidays.

i know everyone in the family can't always get holidays at the same time, but that's the way it is sorry

If the ONLY time you CAN get off is during term-time,personally i would take it,if she doesn't normally have time off and the hol is booked, sorry if you don't agree with this but GO ON HOLIDAY and ENJOY!
Sorry, but if you do everything by the book then why is your daughter taking time off school? I know that holidays are more expensive during the school holidays but this is just one of the prices (literally in this case!) you pay when having children! I don't think you are entitled to take your daughter out of school, the school, at their discretion, can allow 10 days but many schools won't allow their children to take these days unless it is for something really special, eg trip to Australia.

if it was wrong to take children out of school to go on holiday then why are they allowed 10 days per year,it does not say anywhere that you have to use the ten days all in one go if my daughter never has time of sick or misses any exams then i think she is intitled to a well earned break that i can afford not stuck at home all holiday because i cannot afford to pay the holiday prices when school breaks
school do not allow kids 10 days of grace to take off when they want - otherwise the school would be empty when the football was on or some other big events. You have a duty to keep your kids in school during term time and as your daughter has already been away during term time and the school has allowed this i can't see why they would allow you again, if they did they would have trouble with other parents wanting time off
