What Paint?

I have bought some cardboard storage boxes that I intend to cover with wallpaper and then paint the lids. What type of paint would be best to use please?

Maybe poster paints ?

water based...posters seem a good idea

acrylic paint....poster will come off on damp hands and reactivate big time if the boxes get damp. Acrylic sets once its dry. If you want to do a decent job, put a coat of acrylic ghesso on first, its not expensive
