Faulty starter solenoid?
Is it just one click or rapid clicking when you turn the key ?.
It could be as simple as a loose connection at the battery.
Even new batteries can fail - get it checked.
Yep, usually a single click is a bad starter motor battery ok rapid clicks is the symptom of a bad battery starter motor ok.
Sounds like a Duff Battery Devon, was the car staring ok before the new battery was fitted? if so as said, Battery.
Got to be battery, or a poor connection to battery. Take connectors off battery terminals, clean the surfaces of both, and the inner surface of terminals if they are round 'posts' or flat surface of other type. If that doesn't cure fault make sure battery is fully charged up. If not get it charged, try again before laying out for new battery. If still no luck off you go to battery shop. If it was anything else it wouldn't start on jump leads.
