Any thoughts? I listened but was disappointed it had been so much modernised. I've got the book out to read - it's just about falling apart: 1963 Penguin edition. Glad the BBC keep 'doing' John Wyndham's book though.

Just listened to part two and thought it was brlliant. Perhaps dwelt too much on the global warming agenda but otherwise I don't think it suffered too much from modernisation. I'm not sure how the 1950s version would stand up today. I'll have to dig out my copy and re-read it. Good to see the works of one of my favourite science fiction writers performed anyway.
