I'm just wondering how strong the seam/join is between two Siamese twins? You know, they type who are say only joined at the head or shoulder I know the type who share a rib cage have a real strong bond. But you know, a head join how strong is that? If say, they were to pull against each other could the seam rip? Would it even be possible to completely separate? I'm not talking survival hereI know there'd be a lot of pain involved, but forgot all that. I wonder if it's possible? Hmmmm

the two guys who the term siamese twins was coined for, chang and eng, were joined by a very thin strand at the chest, about 6" long and about as thick as, say a cucumber.

had they been born in modern times they could have been separated in a shot.

it really depends not on the skin that we see but what is underneath. if its only skin it would probably be possible to split it, but if it involves muscle bone, organs etc then it would be extremely difficult and likely fatal.

every case is very different, but i guess in theory, if its only skin then yes you could pull apart.

Interesting question FlipFlaps!

I've always wondered if I could have been half of a siamese twin set as I have a big zip down my back and don't know what it's for. So..... I've come to the conclusion that if I was to meet my twin, then we could just join up when we feel like it.

I know it doesn't really answer your question but it demonstrates that seams don't have to be ripped!!! They can be unwound gently and a zip inserted.
