Not really sure where to put this but my sons form at school has cooking after the holidays, they have to take in the ingredients and a SHARP KNIFE which they have to carry with them all day until their lesson,a class of 14 year olds,17 boys and 8 girls carrying knives?I don't think so,with all the trouble on knives at the moment on the news!Anyway i rang the school and said i wouldn't send a knife in,i was told that if he didn't take one in,he wouldn't be allowed to cook,is it just me or is the school just being bl**dy ignorant?
It is ridiculous to say hysterical nonsense we are talking illegal carrying of knives, being encouraged by a school, this 'cheap shot' as you put it is real life for some poor families and such a shame that it is not regarded as important by some others,,,good day!
illegal since when has it been illegal to put a kitchen devil in with your cookery ingredients you dozy mare and has nothing to do with those murders whatsoever.
i will be suing because of the repetative strain injury your giving my neck xxx
electric, i work for the local education authority in one of the london boroughs where there has been a recent high profile muder invoving a knife. i strongly advise u to first approach the the headteacher, and if u get no joy, secondly contact your local eduaction dept and ask to speak to the link inspector for your school. knives are for kitchens only, not for kids to be carrying around on the street for 'cookery lessons'. someone, somewhere in the school authority needs to be strung up!
