Shopping For Mobile Phone

Vodafone.co.uk advertise on their website their own brand mobile VODAFONE SMART ULTRA 6 (Silver) for £130.
Amazon .co.uk advertise the same mobile for £115.
Unless i am missing something is it not strange that Vodafone allow their own product to be sold at another outlet at a lower price than that quoted on their own website.

they sell books cheaper too, I'm told.

They use their bulk buying power to get products cheap from the manufacturer then pass (some of) the savings on to the consumer. They save money by not having shops and not paying taxes.

Vodafone dont make phones they buy them from usually Chinese suppliers and lock them up with their own software. Other suppliers sell them on untampered and dont have the overheads that Vodafone do.
