As Tommy Cooper said, 'Laughing at Me.....with my own teeth.
to be honest Mama they go without tmt
at least they do in sunny Newton Heath ....
//It is the middle clases that are being screwed not the poor, who get it free. //

Canary thinks the middle classes are the rich. I wonder where he draws the line?
I once went to a local dentist for something when my regular one was away. This dentist was telling me that there was a lot of work needed doing on my teeth. I relayed this message back to my own dentist. He sighed and said: dentistry is a very sad profession. If we keep your teeth in good condition we get nothing. We only get paid for work. Your teeth don't need anything doing.
I have never forgotten him saying that.
The increase charges are to raise more money for the Chancellor, who will next week use it to give a tax cut to the well off.

As usual, the consequences are ignored. Poor people will visit their dentist less often, less preventative work will be done, and more decay and extractions will follow.

The increase charges will have a negative impact on oral heath, but the high paid will have big grins on their smug faces when Gideon gives them their tax cut.
Hear! hear! comrade.
Grasscarp, Dentists get nothing if we all keep our teeth clean and healthy?
I'm in and out of the dentist's chair in no time, but I still have to pay about £20 for him to poke about in my mouth for about 10 seconds. I should have encouraged my son to be a dentist. I think they're doing ok.
I suppose we'll ignore the fact that how ever many percent the higher tax bracket is reduced those affected are still paying phenomenally more tax than the 'poor'. On top of that those in that bracket are generally not 'the rich' they are middle class professionals.

Fender,

You think that poor people should be denied health care? If they cannot afford it, they must do without? Fortunately, for 70 years, Governments of all persausions disagreed with you.
Not all people on all benefits get free dentistry, I linked to that yesterday.
You mighty get a slighter cheaper rate if you're on benefits, but you still have to pay, as Mamya said.
