How do I stop being pestered to upgrade to Windows 10 ?

I keep getting rid of the usual pop-up box but now there has been a countdown box which will instal W10 automatically within one minute unless I abort ! My wife was a little slow off the mark today and the instalation went through and I had to restore my PC to Windows 7 by declining W10's conditions.

It's becoming a pain in the you-know-what. I just don't want Windows 10.

Help !

I think it is MS policy to bully. They keep insisting I update the graphics driver on my PC even though the new one crashes more often than the one I have.

Is it not the case that you can untick the Win10 download when it says there are important updates available ? That's all I can think of at present to counteract this MS manipulation.

I keep on unticking the downoad box and it's peeing me off. Now, as I've said, this other time bomb of an instal box has started to appear.

Thank anyway, OG.
if you`ll excuse my asking - why dont you want Win 10.
There are a number of programs that will block Windows 10 from downloading and installing such as GWX Control Panel and which will remove all the associated files

Odd. Normally when you click in the title box another box opens beneath for further details
You can get the GWX Control Panel from here

Select the Download Installer option, install it, then press the various buttons to stop the W10 nagging.
on a laptop, Windows 10 is very similar to 7 and a little better - more speed for the pc as it was built with more structure than 7, which evolved....there's some increased functionality too.

Thanks everyone,

I don't want W1o becuase I am happy with Windows 7 and so is my wife, who would take ages to readjust !

Cheers

Yes, I'm a happy W7er with no plans to upgrade; it ain't broke so no need to fix it. I haven't been getting the countdown, though - that sounds very annoying.
sounds to me like its already be downloaded and it will install itself after a few weeks \ days
