Song I Heard Today In Matalan

I tried to remember the lyrics (what I could hear) but I can`t remember the exact words. Some lyrics were something like "make the clean unclean or into the unclean" and "I find myself at your window/brings me to your window". I have googled but that takes me to hip hop gangsta stuff. This song was a mellow sort of Indie band song. Any ideas?

Thanks but it`s not those. It was more of a plodding, slightly melancholy song (possibly in a minor key) - the kind of song such as Wildwood by Paul Weller - definitely not "poppy"

Can't help 237, but I do think Matalan play totally unsuitable music. I heard Morrissey once, when I was in the queue to pay, I mentioned it to folk nearby, + the girl on the till, but they all looked at me blankly :(

Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now would be quite appropriate for some of the staff.
I'd love to hear Morrissey when I go shopping. I still remember a visit to a shop in Scotland where they played This Charming Man- sounded fantastic.

f-f,....must agree I'm warming to him now, after many years, but I don't think his songs appropriate for shop background music. Having said that, I'm often the only shopper over 50 in there, + the till staff are so in their own little bubbles I doubt they even hear it ;)
