I will be honest and say years ago when I heard that a 4 Seasons musical was being released I thought "Who wants to go and see a musical about the 4 Seasons" (even though I was a fan of them years ago). I was staggered when it ran and ran in London (and other cities). Last January (a year ago) it came to Birmingham and I went to see it with my wife and her sister. Even as I was...

Ohhh I shall watch this thread, I'd like to see that show.
It's fantastic.
Mrs retro saw it about two months ago on stage. She thought it was brilliant and well worth going. :-)
looking good
Now she has her freedom pass and nearing retirement (cutting back on her days) she goes up town most days off to the theatre. I am so happy for her now she can take advantage of living in London and not just working in London.
She has become my Quentin Letts Theatre critic :-)

I was staggered when it ran and ran in London (and other cities).

Last January (a year ago) it came to Birmingham and I went to see it with my wife and her sister.

Even as I was sitting in the theatre waiting for it to start I thought "how can a musical about the 4 seasons be that good".

Then it started and I began to realise why.

IT IS STUNNING.

One of the best produced shows I have ever seen.

It is MORE than just about their songs but about their lives (ups and downs). I wont say any more as I dont want to spoil it.

But you will enjoy it.

And it is 10 times better than the film.

p.s. I am a great fan of musicals and have seen Les Mis, Miss Saigon, and dozens of others.

In my opinion Jersey Boys is second only to Les Mis (they are very different of course).

Well that all sounds good. Quite looking forward to it.
Prudie, you'll love it. I wouldn't usually got the theatre to see something twice, but I definitely would for Jersey Boys.
One of the best shows ever
I've seen it in New York and London. Both were fantastic.
Thumbs up from me too!
Brilliant saw it in New York and can only say brilliant. You won't be disappointed. X
Seems I'm the only one who was disappointed. I quite enjoyed it but felt it was way over-hyped. The propensity to launch into song only to cut them short quite a let down.

In my opinion, 'Let it Be', the story of the Beatles was far better. That was Party Time!!! :o)
If you're not offended by a bit of swearing, I'm sure you will enjoy it. My daughter, husband and myself seen it in London a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. Great music.

Thanking all for their inputs, saw it on Saturday and was blown away from the first minute. Absolutely loved every minute of it. All the other big shows were on in the area - Les Mis, Miss Saigon, Thriller etc but have no desire to see those.
