Whilst I am aware that this is a very old link,

///did it come to attention because the Crucifix was causing the person at B.A. from doing her job?///

The person at BA was banned from wearing a Cross and not a Crucifix even though Crucifix forms part of the thread title, they are not the same thing.
as I recall, this was discussed here in 2012. The stories don't get republished, aog, but they don't get deleted either. Most likely someone came across it and posted it on Facebook or similar social media and instantly people started clicking links to read it. The same has happened with the death of Leslie Nielson, the film comedian, which happened five years ago but is now in the BBC's Most Read column (and it also got a thread on AB from someone who didn't realise).

Time something did stir up the sleeping lion, before it is completely too late.
Why do Christians feel the need to wear crosses/crucifixes to demonstrate their faith, at work, in the first place?

They are just another form of neck jewellery that some women prefer to wear, don't you wear jewellery? No perhaps not.
No, they aren't. If that were the case these women wouldn't have created such a fuss.......

I'm not sure quite what I'm supposed to make of your final comments.

I wondered about that - you beat me to it!
I think we can guess....
I never wore a cross or crucifix as a statement, simply I had more of those necklaces than any others - as I stated earlier if work forbade them I'd not have worn them and made no fuss.

It was an odd rider indeed.

Why Shouldn't Christians Be Allowed To Wear Their Crucifixes At Work If They So Wish?
