How do you suppose they will check the answers? I find it difficult to imagine them doing it all manually - there must be thousands of responses (& not all from here!). Do you think they have a word checker or something to weed out the correct ones? ps the dog has now eaten my clipping of questions, so no more agonising over 24a, 25b etc! Thanks to all here for lively discussions....

Hi Beagle, I am cynical so I imagined they would just check the dreaded 24a and 25b. That should get rid of most of the entries. I have enjoyed it too, much more fun when we can agonise together.
i would like to be think it all be above board. i do believe that will pick out one at a time, until they find an all-correct entry. they would probably look at 24a etc first to save time. if this ok then check every else....but would do i know. if someone from urc wins i'll get them to ask. good luck..paul
Hi from what I understand they check ALL the entries first. then any correct ones go into the draw. They don't usually have many that are all correct, last years winner scored 49 and a half out of 50. I've managed consolation prizes of Lonely planet guides each year over the past 4 years.
Are they going to publish all the correct answers in this coming Sunday issue?
If I was them, and of course I am not, I would "draw" out entries until I found an all correct one. Surely that would be the most practical way.
Sorry rawtalent, if I had read your answer properly, then I would probably not have said what I did above!!!
From what I understand, this year the ST are going to get just a few more entries than usual ! I just hope they all got one of the answers wrong !!
