peele , my brother is an electrician, at the moment he is working on a project to install fire alarms in blocks of flats owned by central London councils.
He gets £170 a day. But he also gets at least 2 parking tickets a week and pays £10 a day congestion charge as well as fuel cost That knocks his wage down to the level where he is saying it is not worth it. Not to mention the 3 hours travel time a day. He has to take his van to carry all the tools and equipment, but if you can take a train, a years season ticket is nearly £6,000 a year! from his home in Hertfordshire.
Add up the cost before you take a job in London!
They'll send a fire engine for him!!!! Get to work in no time!!
pixie and psybbs alternating on a pole....

I'll have to contact Technology again, my pc is clouding up with steam....Togo, are you still there?
Bring your firewall.... :-)
And your hose
And your helmet
Don't forget your uniform!
Now we're talking and your chopper!
You can always spot him a mile off.
