I have a acer keyboard purchased in Canada. It does not have an fn key. How do I access the British pound sign which is blue?

If you have a number pad on the right try holding down alt, type 156 then release.
To get the euro € symbol on my UK keyboard I press cntl + alt and then 4, there will be a way.
€ ...by holding down Alt Gr and pressing 4
Jomifl; Yes that works too. I tried to post how to get Umlauts (plural; Umlaute)
but they don't work in AB for some reason - I've noticed that before.
If you press alt + 0228 do you get, a-umlaut in another application?
alt = 0246 = o , alt + 0252 = u ?
It will tend to depend on the specific font definition. Maybe verdana doesn't have what you are trying for.

I tend to use charmap to find things.
