My Samsung S3 has picked up a ransomware virus,all the advice so far tells me to find the virus in the apps manager and uninstall it but it's not there,
If I have to reset the phone to factory settings can I first save my data somewhere,the phone is currently in safe mode, any help or advice greatly appreciated

Access Google Play from your computer but, importantly, use the login details that you use on your mobile phone. Instruct Google Play to download Avast Ransomware Removal. It will then be installed onto your phone, from where you can run it:
