When is a good time, for weather and also a few people around, after Christmas for the Canaries? Is it busy all year round ?

For those seeking winter sun, the Canaries offer the ONLY destination that doesn't involve lengthy (and expensive) flights. So they're always going to be reasonably busy.

Monthly weather averages for Tenerife can be seen here
http://www.holiday-weather.com/tenerife/averages/january
but you need to remember that the Canaries can often be very windy during the winter months.
If you go to Tenerife in the winter it is said that the south is the best option if you want sunshine. The north of the island tends to be warm but cloudy. Also it can be windy. Warm during the day but perhaps you may need a cardigan in in the evening.
if you look at the cloud patterns here

you can see why the south is generally sunnier.
My wife and I once went to Bajamar for a week at Christmas. During the day, the weather was calm and sunny, but not warm. More like mild, I would say. A cardigan or light jacket was needed. But, as soon as the sun went down, the air turned distinctly chilly. Overall, the weather was nice, with no rain, and little wind. Not many people around in the tourist spots, which was nice.
enjoy the sunshine xx

Your welcome, get your bags packed the taxi picks us up at 6.45 xx
January and February the weather can be a bit iffy no matter what everyone tells you about it being sunny all year round. Also in January, it can be pretty quiet after Christmas. However - we are going on 10th January for two weeks and we are going back on 29th February for 23 days so hopefully we will see some sunshine in that time
You can have a good week, but you can be the unfortunate ones who go in the wet week.
TWR will be going ourselves next Tuesday 11 oclock flight Cruzcampo by 4.

( apologies to Mae West who said it first )
parky at night in Upper Egypt, PP. The sun goes down, you reach for your jumper. I think Canary nights are warmer. Agadir in Morocco is okay - approximately next to the Canaries.
Mala, we fly out at 9 am, Tomas Cook, Sofi South, Adeji, we will pick you up at 6.30 PP
