why do my cats not eat the moles?

Daft question,but my cats are renowned for bringing in dead rabbits,mice,shrews,birds etc etc and thats just the bits they havent eaten!! We always find 'bits' of whatever they have killed.But three times we have come down to a dead mole and it hasnt been mutilated whatsoever,infact it just looks asleep.Any reason why they would not attempt to eat the mole?

I don't know maybe they don't look tasty...they are ugly little blighters I wouldn't eat one either!!! :-)

If my dogs ever find a dead mole they shake them then throw them in the air and pull a face, so I suspect they taste funny. They never try to eat them.
