Do you need a Quad LNB for sky plus, i've just bought a second hand box and it is stuck on stanbye, the person i bought it off claims this is the case until I subscribe to Sky+ is this true?

As far as Im aware all standard dishes have a quad lnb.


Sky+ needs 2 feeds so in theory a twin lbn would be sufficient.


Stuck on stand-by until you subscribe - twaddle ! You just wouldnt have the sky+ functionality ie it would like a standard box.

Thanks Matt, I did think it was faulty bloody Ebay! I'm using my old sattelite so this has only got one LNB port, however, i've just bought a Quad LNB that should fit to the old one.
