Stop washing getting wet

Hi,
Not sure if this is the corect place to put this.
What I am after is something I can use with my rotary air dryer to stop it getting wet if it rains.Sometime before we go out, we look at the weather and if it looks its going to rain then we will put washing (mainly towels from morning shower) in the tumble dryer,so I was wondering if there is something I can use on my rotary air dryer that will allow the towels to get dry, and will keep off the rain. Not suer if a gazebo with side panels will do that, didn't really want something that big, but if it works might be the best option.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Steve

I assume you've got one of these Hills Hoists in which case a gazebo might be the answer. Another alternative might be to resite your Hills Hoist nearer the house, possible near a window under a Pull Out Awning.

I guess the cheap and cheerful way would be to get a large sheet of square polythene and drape it over the top of your Hills Hoist to make a sort of umbrella.

At times where the weather looks uncertain, I find it more reliable to hang any damp washing on one of these retractable washing lines fitted to the bathroom walls and leave a small window open for ventilation. If you Google Retractible Washing Lines, you'll probably find some examples.

I always used to keep a couple of cheap plastic dust sheets (99p) in the garage and if it looked like a quick shower I would peg it over my washing line on top of the washing and when the rain had passed, just take it off a give it a good shake. Saves keep bringing your washing in and out all day.
