My son lives in Thailand, has not mentioned any floods in Thailand. When was this?

It was all last week. Around Koh Samui it was quite bad but apparently it looks like it is now clearing up. Thanks for your reply and hope all is ok where your son lives.

Koh Sumui is an island off the coast of Thailand and I'm almost certain didn't suffer during the recent floods. These were confined to the Midland and Northern regions of the mainland. Have you confused the name with another as it is nowhere near Bangkok. Your friend will probably be taking a connecting flight from Bangkok to Koh Sumui.

OK thanks chompu, my son lives in Bangkok. There in the rainy season at the moment. Could'nt be too badly flooded or my son would have said (his gf parents live in Northern Thailand)
Koh Samui is as chompu said an island of the Southern coast about an hours flight from Bangkok.
The weather in Bangkok at the moment?
25C Light rain!

It is pretty soggy in Samui at the moment. The floodwater has abated, but the clean up continues. However, Mai Tai's are still available

As update, Samui has just been declared a disaster area after fresh flooding on Thursday (8 Nov)
