Not too hot, cold or windy. Just right.

I've had an enjoyable day pottering about, weeding, digging, planting seeds.

Have you been in the garden? What have you done?

My wife mowed the grass, strimmed the edges, planted roses and several other plants. Swept up cuttings. She is now having a kip.

I hope you are cooking tonight, David. Wake her when dinner's ready.
I have and been doing an almost pointless and impossible task. Trying to cut out a passion flower that's gone mad and is mixed up in a terrible mess with my about to flower clematis montana all supported by next door's holly that's come over the fence. I've been trying to be really careful but it's like unravelling a brillo pad.
It's been raining here, east of Leeds, so I haven't been able to do anything in the garden. Dreadfully disappointing day.
Ooops....saw yours when I'd posted mine, Tilly.....x

I got the grass done early on while the Sun was shining, OH and Doc have gone for a Girlie Lunch and a bit of shopping, still no sign of 'em, so anyone's guess, it's been a nice quiet day.
Man flu has prevented me going Ont allotment. Hopefully, I'll be better next week , gorra lot to plant.
A good steady drizzle and freezing temperatures (well almost freezing) prevented any gardening here today:-(

What a shame that some of you have had awful weather. Of those of you who have been out, David's wife and Prudie seem to have had the hardest jobs.

Just cut it all back, Prudie. It will grow again. That clematis is indestructible.

Hope you get better soon, Melv. Did you see my osprey video post?

Gness, no problem.
I ventured into the garden and had a chat with the chickens. Having retreated to the comfort of the conservatory I observed the garden and wrote a mental to do list for the gardeners next visit.

It was a cracking day for writing a gardening to do list ;-)
I didn't see the osprey post, Tilly. I'll have a look later. Getting myself prepared for an Orkney holiday in a couple of weeks. You can see hen harriers and short eared owls from the kitchen window :-)
Did some yesterday. Too busy with house chores and travelling today. Feel like a kip myself !

I'll have to get a gardener when I am too old to cope, Eccles. I expect you have a very long list. There is always so much to do.

I should have put this in Chatterbank. Gness is beating me, hands down. :-(

Oh well. I had a lovely day on this beautiful day.
Tilly2. I always cook the dinner. I wake her gently, give her a sometimes nice meal, then run her bath. She's the best.
I sorted my Hostas. Took pebbles off then 2 - 3 inches of compost then replaced with fresh. Some got new pots. Just the 21 pots. Job done.
Question Author
Good man. David. Gardening's obviously not your job but you make up for it in other ways. :-)
Just the 21 pots!....I adore Hostas......x
Question Author
21 pots, Jakep? Blimey.
Can't be trusted at Hampton Court either! Will be more.
