Lovely here but I need you elsewhere
Typical British summer of my childhood.
It is Tilly. I was saying to OH that it would appear to be bypassing summer and going to autumn, it is cold too. The heating is on.
Windy?

According to the BBC website, the winds around your part of the country should only be about 10mph.

Er, you've not been eating those radishes again, have you?

;-)
Cupid???
Always seems to be windy here, unsurprisingly I suppose.
At least we had a shower in the early hours but not what was forecast. Beginning to wonder why they bother.
Some sun but too chilly for me to garden.
There's not a cloud in the sky here, I've just watched the sun slip over the horizon. Mind you this morning was thick cloud, cold wind and rain.

We are having gusts, Chris. Is that the kidney beans we have just had in the chilli con carne?
It's a lovely evening here in the south. The day started off a bit wet, but improved as the day went on - pretty much what was forecast.
Question Author
Obviously, those in the south are having the best of the weather tonight.
I pulled the curtains to about 2 hours ago (E. Yorks.)! It's been siling it down!(siling is vernacular for steady downpour).

Pity me, please! I talked Mr. J2 into coming north (he's a southerner) from France - and we've hit one of the worst Junes I can ever remember. He went upstairs to put a jumper on a bit ago and I'm still drying the dog-towels after the evening walk.

There are mutterings....... Fortunately a friend in France reports having had to put his central heating on last week - and then switch it off again and he'd had to come inside to avoid the heat because of a 38C heatwave! Surely it has to get better - or else I foresee a difficult conversation and another move which I don't want!
Calm as you like here on the Sussex coast......and clear skies now....have had showers on and off with no wind at all.

Tilly's been on the sherry....to which I will join her by having a wee Harveys Bristol Cream in a minute or two. :-)
Question Author
Yogi, I hate sherry! I am drinking Cabernet Sauvignon!

It's calmed down a bit now. I have just put my wooly cardigan on. My feet are cold, though.
Been trying for 15 mins to say that I'm now on the cider because it is a Summer drink! All curtains closed - this isn't right. Also there is something wrong with my computer!!
^^^ Oops! blame very slow computer, please. I thought it had all failed, sorry :)

Jourdain, things can only get better!
All downhill now until the Winter Solstice
Question Author
The Winter Solstice means it's nearly Christmas....Yeah!
Quite cold here and overcast with heavy showers all day. It looks as though it will last all week too. I've bought a lovely new top too to wear when it's warm and sunny......maybe next year!
Question Author
Actually, having just come back from holiday where it was 37 degrees everyday, it is rather nice to feel a bit chilled.
