Try another charger for the same Tablet, if you can. Your friends or neighbours may have one. They are everywhere you look...you could try mine if we lived closer ! Check if a fuse has blown in the plug attached to the charging lead, if it has one. ( I have a 7 inch Samsung Tab and my charging lead doesn't have a fuse )

These plugs that go into the Tablet are easily damaged, if an attempt is made to put it in upside down, which is easy to do, so have a close look at the socket and the plug, to see if any of those tiny little gold-coloured bits are broken.

If not, go back to PC World. Perhaps they could tell you if its the charge lead or the tablet on the spot. Charging leads are not expensive, so it might be quicker in the long run just to buy a new lead, rather than wait weeks for PC World to act under the guarantee. Sorry I can't think of anything else that might help. Please let us know what the solution is, so that we can all learn.

thank you mikey, will look for another lead and then if not take it back tomorrow.
Best of luck Dee Sa !
Dee, have you tried pulling out the usb connection on the plug? Take it out and put it back in. See if that works.
Tilly has a point here. My Tablet has a mains plug charger, not a USB one...If you are using a USB socket, it itself could be faulty.

But my best guess is that the charging lead is faulty.
check that the socket on the tablet is not damaged in any way, that can cause it to not recognise the charging cable, its a very common problem cause by pulling out the charging cable too haphazardly
Mikey, mine has a mains plug charger, too. It has a usb connection in the back of the plug which can be disconnected to attach the tablet to the lap top, for example.

What was the outcome, Dee?
I had the same problem with mine and I took it into a shop to get repaired and they told me straight away what the problem was there were bite marks on the charger and my kitten at the time had been nibbling it I bought a new charger and it was fine!!
