Any information on Sardinia welcome

Hi, we are off to Sardinia at the end of June, to Cala Gonone and although I have guide books and have checked various travel websites, there is nothng better than having the opinion of any Abers as to where to visit, recommended cuisine, etc in that area. So please let me know all the pro's and cons of Sardinia if you've been. Thanks

Haven't been to that area but I visited Alghero in 2006. The weather is just amazing and the country is absolutely beautiful. The food, well there is just such an aray. From fish to pizza. Pasta to pastry, you name it. It was one of the best holidays I've been on. You will have a great time there. Try the fish, some of my family definitely loved it there. Hope this helps and have a nice trip.
