Spent a weekend in Albufeira in mid March with the wife. Because of the exchange rate now, all prices in the Eurozone have, but not all gone up, but are equal to what you might pay in the UK. A pint beer for instance could still be 2.50 euros, but that equates to 2.50 not 2.00 as it was last year. You will still find places offering good deals on eating/drinking out.as places try and attract custom. As for the prices of food in shops,as in the UK prices have gone up.
We had two meals with desert and a ltr of wine at the Minho Verde Portugese self service restaraunt both came to around 17euros. If you dont mind searching and trying something different from egg and chips you can find reasonable prices.
we went in october last year with uor 4 month old and it was very reasonable,on the strip there are so many restaurants competing you can get some lovely food in the more traditional portugese places doing gorgeous seafood, meats etc at the same price as the pie and chips places.
same with beer, the further along you went the cheaper it got,i love albufeira you'll have a great time, especially at this time of year before the 18-30's get there!lol
plenty of places to eat and drink all reasonably priced, just have a wander about, the supermarkets aren't very expensive either
