Snowman on roof of car? Acceptable

I had an argument with my girlfriend who recons it would be illigal to drive with a snowman on the roof...

No questions it is dangerous and irresponsible, however....how funny would it be?

Is it illegal, and what could i have been done for?

As you said irresponsible and silly - frankly not funny to other road users either. Don't know the law but suspect there's one that covers carrying a heavy amount of potentiallty lethal stuff unsecured on the roof of a car.

You should actually remove any snow from a car roof before setting out on a journey.

Totally agree P&R - too much of our everyday lives are dull & something like that would make a lot of people laugh I think !

I must admit though, that if said snowman was built on something solid on the top of the car, and no chance that it could slide off.........then yes, It would look rather amusing.

Yes it would funny and make people smile, me included, but when in slid off and you drove into someone the smiles would soon go!!

Still on the subject of snow.....

My daughter was out sledging with her two daughters this morning & saw a man wrestle a young lad to the ground, kneel on him & put his arm up behind his back. He was shouting to him "Don't throw snowballs at people, alright? They can injure people, 'specially with stones in them".

I wonder if that was acceptable?
